What is Wyrd?
Before it became "weird," it meant something deeper.
The Word That Changed
In Old English, wyrd meant fate—the process of becoming. From Proto-Germanic *wurdiz, it shares roots with the German werden (to become). The Norse called it Urðr—what has become. Over centuries, wyrd drifted to "weird," losing its depth. We're taking it back.

Not Passive Fate
Wyrd isn't a fixed destiny written in stone. It's the active, ongoing process of becoming. The accumulated past shaping the present, weaving the future. Tectonic plates shift. Pressure builds. Storms gather energy. The threads are always being woven.
